TASTING NOTES: Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut, caramel, wild blackberry, blueberry, dynamic and balanced.

This delicious coffee comes from San Antonio Huista, Huehuetenango Guatemala.

It is a blend of coffees grown and processed on multiple small farms. CODECH (Coordinator of Organizations for the Development of Concepcion Huista) is a cooperative, local to the region of Huista which organizes ten smaller cooperatives and over 500 members. CODECH works to benefit its community and build equity for women by marketing and exporting coffee, educating its members on organic farming practices, providing members loans and providing medical care. Smallholder farmers focus on producing the highest quality coffee with handpicking and the meticulous processing of ripe coffee cherries.

The average farm size is tiny at only one hectare. Quality coffee varieties of Bourbon, Pache, Caturra and Catuaí are handpicked and processed in the washed method on each farm. Coffee is then dried under the sun on patios. This coffee is dynamic, sweet, balanced and comforting. It has harmonious flavors of chocolate fudge, hazelnut and wild blackberry and a round silky body.

Prepared as an espresso it is dynamic, with assertive fruit notes and a soft chocolate finish. It is relaxed, balanced and sweet as a brewed coffee. From the highlands of Huehuetenango, please enjoy San Antonio Huista!
